Congratulations, Patrolman Detterbeck!

Today, the Clinton Township Police Department proudly congratulates Patrolman Detterbeck on his graduation from the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy as a member of the 106th Basic Police Training Class.

Joining in the celebration were Chief Thomas DeRosa, Officer Detterbeck’s fellow officers, Council Member Tom Kochanowski, and many of his family members and friends who have supported him throughout his journey.

Officer Detterbeck’s path to becoming a police officer in the United States is a remarkable example of dedication, perseverance, and public service. Born in Germany, he previously served as a police officer there before becoming an American citizen several years ago. Determined to continue a career devoted to helping others, he pursued his goal of serving his adopted community and successfully completed the rigorous training required to become a New Jersey police officer.

His story is an inspiration to anyone pursuing their American dream through hard work, commitment, and service to others.

Please join us in welcoming Patrolman Detterbeck to the Clinton Township Police Department family. We wish him a long, safe, and rewarding career serving the residents of Clinton Township.
